During the visit of Bolivia’s Vice President Álvaro García Linera to Tarija, a bill that would directly support the supply chain of grape, wine and singani was discussed. The proposed bill is divided into three different sections, covering incentives, protection and taxes.
The Vice President has shown his support for the bill, which he pleasantly received and described as an interesting and viable proposition during a press conference in Los Parrales Hotel.

The Vice President also affirmed that the Ministry of Productive Development and the Ministry of Economy would review the bill in the following weeks. The proposed bill will also include declaring 2015 as the “International year of Grape, Wine and Singani” in Bolivia.
